Whilst everyone else is busy shopping in Betws-y-coed, Gwydir Forest is the perfect place to escape to. There are several colour coded walks to follow with blue and yellow being the longest at 4.5 and 6 miles respectively. Very very steep start to the walks...More

Lovely lake with a series of graded signed walks. Toilets and picnic tables. The road up is not for the faint hearted or for those (like me) whose reversing skills leave a lot to be desired.

A nice walk. Not too strenuous with a lovely view of the mountains later in the walk. Quite cool walking in the forest.

This is a must visit if you are in the Bewts-y-Coed area. Miles of forest trails to explore. We were walking with two dogs but you can have equally as much fun on a mountain bike. I would highly recommend.
