Lovely place to go for a walk with lovely views and places to sit along the way. My husband went back the next day on his bike and said the track was great. A lot of climbing at first but great descent. The only downside is the amount of dog poo we saw or nearly trod in. Such a shame!

Whilst everyone else is busy shopping in Betws-y-coed, Gwydir Forest is the perfect place to escape to. There are several colour coded walks to follow with blue and yellow being the longest at 4.5 and 6 miles respectively. Very very steep start to the walks as you enter the forest but really worth the effort. We went again today for... More

We followed the yellow lane to Lync park. A very quiet forest with wonderful scenery. We left in the north of the lake the yellow lane towards Ugly house and the Swallow falls (way not marked and maps are required). On the way you will see the best viewpoint of Swallow falls for free (the one on the street costs... More

Its alrite but too much riding uphill on fire - roads but the last stretch of the downhills was cool and scary .. I loved it - well worth all that climbing

We decided to do the blue circular walk and somehow failed to find our way. Not sure if that's just us? Anyhow, it was a beautiful walk in the woodland and then we headed out to more open ground along the riverside and the whole area is incredibly picturesque. I think that open area was part of the yellow route,... More

Lovely lake with a series of graded signed walks. Toilets and picnic tables. The road up is not for the faint hearted or for those (like me) whose reversing skills leave a lot to be desired.

Well marked and maintained MTB route through the forest (Marin Trail). Some of the markers could do with being a little bit clearer as the small white signs are easily missed, especially is concentrating effort on an ascent! There is also the option for the Mini Marin to just complete the bottom loop rather than the full 25km, which is... More

A nice walk. Not too strenuous with a lovely view of the mountains later in the walk. Quite cool walking in the forest.

Walked the well marked route from pont-y-pair car park (pay for parking with toilets), of the 3 routes we took the blue route. All seemed very well marked. Some challenging areas for casual walkers but nothing to tough. Stunning walk going through quiet forests, farmland and a section of riverside path. By far the best part was that we saw... More
