We embarked on a journey through Snowdonia National Park, driving from Conwy to Maesycwmmer. It proved to be a captivating experience, showcasing Wales' untouched beauty. This picturesque route boasts a captivating mix of rugged terrain, ancient woodlands, and towering peaks, making it a destination not to be missed. Despite the heavy rain and chilly weather that day, we managed to stop for a brief hike to admire a waterfall.

Passing through Snowdonia National Park was truly delightful and I only wish that I had gotten to stay a bit longer — maybe another time. If you love mountains and nature, you’re in for a treat. My group even got to see a few wild mountain goats.

Camp Stesion, a hillside farm in Wales, is the BEST CAMPSITE I've experienced in the UK by far. It's small, quiet rules are enforced, and the views are amazing. The village of Trawsfyndd, down the hill, has a pub, a village shop, and the nicest people I've ever encountered as a tourist/hill walker. The campsite has six non-electric pitches, a yurt, two pods and a shepherd's hut. There's a shower block and a camp kitchen (out of the wind), and toilets, all with hot water. Every site is large and has a stone ring for campfires. Privacy is well provided for by design. The night sky is very bright when the clouds part, amazing views. The farm owners/hosts are justly proud of this site and they work hard to make sure that guests have all they need to have a great experience. I stayed for 5 nights in my tent and a pod, and I loved it.
