A truly lovely walk can be had, around the walls of Caernarfon, but give yourself time to take in everything you can see. Very photogenic. Highly recommended.

We live outside caernarfon but every time we go into caernarfon it the walls take my breath away. I love walking around them soaking up the atmosphere, and the history of the place.....wonderful...something I will never tire of doing

Impressive with very narrow gates especially if you are towing a caravan. .Compact and showing what an outpost of empire look like in Edward I day.

Small businesses and restaurants have occupied the interior of the castle wall and created a special atmosphere. A fun place of the younger crowd to hang out in the evening.

Lovely streets and walls around the castle and in the town and down to the harbour Only disappoint is that you cant walk along the walls like you can in Chester But still worth a walk down the narrow streets and around the walls

I have seen lots of medieval town walls (Norwich, etc) which have portions intact. While Caernarfon's are not as extensive as York's or Chester's, they are nonetheless impressive with their thickness and thy along with the castle must have been an imposing reminder of Edward...More

Great afternoon walk, nice to feel old town atmosphere and have a drink in harbour, it's not a long walk but the views are nice

Yes, on some parts. You can also climb some of the towers (tight worn curly stair cases - as you'd expect in a castle of this age)...but bear in mind it's not for the faint hearted...I did it with a determined 3 year old... More

As with all other public places, dogs need to be on a leash with usual restrictions on shops/cafes etc
