We came here for a Steampunk evening event which was held in the theatre upstairs. Great venue with ample seating and reasonably priced drinks. We had such a fun evening and the entertainment was amazing!

Housed in an old theatre this museum is atmospheric. It exhibitions are numerous, extending over different floors and includes clocks, domestic ware, radios, furniture, shipping, artwork, machinery, and dwellings. It also has a shop with many novelty items.

Our first visit , but well worth the time . Lots of local items , and a very good way to find out about the local history . Small enough to feel you had done the Museum justice .
