A really excellent museum with free entry

An awful lot to see and do at this excellent museum. It's accessible, with lots of different areas, with a particularly interesting local history section. Well worth a visit.

We were staying the night in Worcester and discovered the museum and art gallery was opening late so we went along. To our delight refreshments were on offer - what better way to get the weekend off to a wonderful start! The cocktails were amazing and the tapas delicious. The art and artifacts were fascinating. All in all a truly... More

A rather small gallery and museum, with a rather large amount of material on the local army regiment and its history. It's hard to be too harsh: this is a free facility and certainly the exhibits are well-presented, albeit somewhat limited. Much of the museum material is from Worcestershire as a county, rather than the city itself and there is... More

I'm not usually a great fan of Museum's however, my visit to this museum changed all that. Great exhibits and audio/ visual information. Excellent balance between artwork and military exhibits. Well worth a visit to this museum and no admission fee to pay. Nice little cafe too within the building for taking that five minutes out.

We visited with others for an educational trip and were very impressed with the knowledge and the approachability of the staff but also the content of the museum. We were invited to learn about Fossils and how they are made we explored with some clay and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Worcester City Art Gallery was filled with a great variety of exhibition . There was a great mixture to suit a range of interests . There are lot activities for the kids. Such as dressing up. They also have a chemist exhibition which is open during the holidays. We spent an hour there and it was just enough for kids.

Interesting David Cox exhibition. Couple of British Museum loans complementing their own collection of watercolours. Good to see smaller exhibition of Archaeological paintings by local artist Lines - fascinating record of 19 century Worcester.

Why do we not know so many of our talented forebears. The current exhibition showing the work of the 19th C. watercolourist David Cox is superb. It is also free. It is running for another couple of months. Catch it while you can.
