Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and offers an extraordinarily rich and varied day out. Throughout its history, the Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. Today The Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions. Your ticket to Windsor Castle includes entry to our exhibition Waterloo at Windsor.

If you come in to UK you must reserve some time to visit Windsor Castle this where the place where the Queen spend her weekends and it’s beautiful inside. Don’t lose it and it’s not far from London about 40min. By train.

I know that under 5s are free but would not have thought strollers would be allowed inside the state apartments. It may be useful to email the castle for more information before you visit.

I suggest you be there 45 minutes before opening, stand on the left side of entrance while the right side is for groups and you get in directly after opening without delay.
