I took a little persuading but Arundells really is a worthwhile visit. Not at all the ossified remnants of a life but something relevant, very personal and all the more insightful for it. The character of an honourable man, driven by the convictions forged in...More

Sir Edward Heath was a person with a great sense of humour as I am sure his friends will document. Self-deprication is a term usually used to mask genuine humour and pride in your own portrayal. The stairways of his beautiful home are lined with...More

I can see why Ted Heath fell in love with this place - gorgeous building, great proportiongs overlooks the Cathedral - sadly decor and furnishings a bit 80's for a period home

We enjoyed visiting this house and the gardens. The guides were very informative and friendly- clearly fond of the former Prime Minister. We didn't know about his military career and the exhibition about his part in the forming of the EEC was fascinating.

£5 for the gardens. I had a private tour for me and my mate. Cost £12 each. We were lucky with the tour guide.
