I have been living locally for 3 years and this Museum has been on my "to do list". I regret not visiting it earlier. The way the exhibits are presented is excellent. The combination of uniforms, weaponry, and artifacts together with campaign stories gives the visitor a comprehensive experience. The room containing medals and narrative of the soldiers who won... This museum is well worth a visit by anyone interested in military history especially the local Regiment. It is well laid out and has friendly informative staff. It is sobering to read details of soldiers killed in recent conflicts.

This houses the Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum, tracing the history of service of Berkshire and Wiltshire regiments for almost 300 years. Arranged chronologically it provides an insight into the raising, deployment , equipping , and achievements of the regiments. Look out for the story of Brandywine Creek, commemorated with a red flash on the badge. The medal room was... More
