Interesting short trip back in time with exhibits from Stonehenge, and also an exhibition of pictures of the cathedral including Constables work. Helpful staff

Great selection of archeology from around Wiltshire. Plus other displays, currently Constable which was well worth seeing. Nice cafe too.

Too many cities and towns in this country have museums that tell you far too little about the development of the city itself. This certainly cannot be said of this museun which gives you a detailed history of the past of this ancient town. There is also an art gallery which i did not visit.

This small Museum punches above its weight with some thrilling art exhibitions. They had Turner last year; currently it is Constable, and the terrific six-footer of Salisbury Cathedral with a rainbow - purchased with help from the Art Fund for the nation and now in the very place where it was conceived. Alongside the Constable, other works by him and... More

This Museum makes for a very worthwhile visit. Situated opposite the entrance to the cathedral it is very easily located. There are various collections...including a Constable focus and many featuring local themes all beautifully presented. There is a friendly little cafe within the museum.

Afraid we didn't leave enough time to do this museum justice after visiting the Cathedral, however we did see the interesting Constable exhibition, along with the Lego interpretation. The room with the Salisbury Giant was interesting too, and that's about all we had time for. Fortunately we are Art Fund members which gave us free admission.

THis museum might not be a must-see for those in a hurry but if you have time after visiting the cathedral you may want to take a stroll over to the museum. They have alot of things from all ages from the area on display. Some very surprising and rare artifacts, too.

Splendid little museum tucked away in the far corner of the Cathedral Close in Salisbury which I suspect most tourists miss. Visited on Tuesday morning with a warm welcome from people in the shop/ticket office. Rather expensive for a short visit although ticket valid for one year makes it good value if you can go back. Constable exhibition tied in... More

Excellent exhibitions (at present Constable), great history of Salisbury galleries and best of all the Wessex Gallery highlighting the long history of the area - surprising artefacts and thought provoking exhibits. Good cafe too.
