There were four of us and we expected good, honest pub food and we ordered a bottle of white wine which was not very well chilled. Despite it not being very busy, we waited quite a while for our food to arrive. Two meals arrived...More

Waited 45minutes for a chicken wrap and a scampi with chips and mushy peas. Chicken wrap was average. Scampi was warm at best and not crispy, chips undercooked and hard. Mushy peas, only got one spoon amount. Very disappointed and wasn't the cheapest of places....More

I've give it two stars purely for the nostalgia of enjoyable past visits, but to be frank there was detritus all over the place. Many of the tables had that much salt on them that my blood pressure was through the roof just in the...More

Came in for breakfast before a Saturday at the cricket. Good value for what we paid. Returned later for evening drinks, v busy and took a while to be served but that is to be expected. Over all not a bad pub

Dropped in for afternoon beers with a few mates, sat outside to enjoy the sun . Have to echo other reviews here and say the building from the outside promises more than the inside delivers I'm afraid but overall a decent visit to be fair.

I have visited this this pub infrequently over the past 20 years, and it is what it is - a basic student pub. You only have to look at the beer garden... massive, huge number of table, and outdoor projector screen with live sport... it's...More

I visited this pub with a group of work friends some of whom were Spanish and when one member of our group struggled to completely understand the rude, non-attentive and unhelpful bar staff to begin with she had no patience and responded in a rude...More

This is a great looking pub and has huge amounts of space. Unfortunately it hasn't been looked after as well as it should have been and is a bit tatty inside. The atmosphere isn't very welcoming and the choice of drinks isn't great.

We stopped by for a quick bite to eat and drink. The pub was great for that purpose. Food was good, though not huge portions. Beer was well kept.
