This is a great library with some interesting items, but it's the building that is the most impressive feature of all. Take the time to climb to the top of the stairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Found this by chance on a day visit. Didn't realise the gallery was closed but saw the amazing cafe and decided to have lunch. We had coronation chicken sandwich and tarragon chicken bagel, both lovely, with Yorkshire tea naturally. Friendly staff and great place to...More

The building itself is worth seeing and there are regular tours to point out the special features. The library is housed in the same building as the art gallery (closed for work on the roof in 2016, to reopen in 2017 some time). Even without...More
