Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Appalling service from the box office. Failed to issue the tickets for an event, despite being contacted by email several times. Eventually called by phone, after waiting for over 2 hours on hold they had still not answered.

I underwent bowel cancer surgery a very few months ago. I am not looking for sympathy. But I was looking for a loo when I was in the Town Hall today. I found one below ground level. It was dirty. It was unclean. It had no toilet seat. Need I go on. If people are expected to visit then you are expected to keep the facilities clean and usable.

Normally a great venue - just be careful about seats at the back in the aisles as it is tough to see and sound not the best
Apart from that go if you can - also bar staff are brill as drinks are cheap for Leeds town centra
Gabriella was very good old classics and new songs

Work in Leeds city centre so a nice place to spend my lunch listening to the free concerts. Simon Linley on the organ is the best

We got married in Leeds Town Hall in June 2018.
The place inside was magnificent! The rooms looked stunning with a large ceiling and huge windows.
The ceremony itself was beautiful by itself, thanks to Kim, the ceremony official, who made us feel at ease and went through the official procedure in a very orderly manner, and to Steve, the ceremony presenter, who made us feel calm and happy guiding us through every step of the way and made sure we feel comfortable with everything.
Thank you very much.

My 3rd visit to this wonderful building to see
The John Wilson Orchestra who never disappoint....
The building is the perfect setting for
this type of show...,the staff are so
Helpful and friendly which all
helps towards the perfect evening out.
Another bonus was the wonderful exterior lighting at this time of the year, it showed off the building superbly

The Town Hall is well worth a look, outside and in. The Christmas carol concert is a wonderful annual event and occasional free lunchtime recitals are on offer too. The organ is a masterpiece.

It was so nice to return to the venue that my son got married a few years ago!
This place is awesome, and really well maintained.
If you’re ever in Leeds you must call in and take a look at the magnificent architecture.

Is there a bar open at Leeds Town Hall during rock concerts there?
Written 30 July 2018
I am not sure that a rock concert would be held there, that would probably be at the arena.

Are the front seats in the stalls the best seats . Sometimes if it's too near the stage you can get a stuff neck!?
Written 10 May 2018
The best seats are upstairs. The stalls are not tiered so every one is sat at the same level. I would recommend upstairs as its just as a theatre would be. The Victoria hall is used for all sorts of events and concerts, including the counting of votes.

Hello,
Apologies we've only just seen your question!
We are about a 10 minute walk away, maybe slightly less.
Hope that helps for future reference.

We want to attend a concert and sit upstairs but one of our party is disabled. Is there easy access to the balcony? ie a lift?

Hi Anita
There is a lift from the ground floor up to the gallery, however, as the lift is not usable during an emergency evacuation, we only recommend gallery seating to those who can evacuate down the stairs in case of emergency. I hope this information helps.
Best wishes
