This is a fantastic collection of arms and other artefacts from around the world. In particular the staircase/atrium is very impressively arranged. The problem we found is that the layout of the building is confusing and the handout information sheet tells you very little about what to find where. You could buy the £5 guidebook but that shouldn't be necessary.... More

We enjoyed the trip to the Armouries and a mid explore cafe stop, which was lovely. Make sure you give yourself enough time to get around the full museum as there is lots to see. There are different exhibitions too so make sure to check before you go.

Me and my boyfriend were at thought bubble which was situated around the armouries we decided to go have a look in as it was free and weren't expecting much but I was proved wrong. There were so many levels to the building and loads of interactive exhibitions that allow young children to touch and interact. They even had actors... More

Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing due to the poor grade food and abysmal coffee in the Nelson Bistro. The coffee was weak, insipid and lacked flavour, the sandwiches were incredibly similar and I will add the word bland. Many diners left large quantities of their meals which is sure tell sign of low quality. Generally, all the products are... More

Staff very friendly and helpful and the whole family had a great time. Well worth checking to see what demonstrations are taking place and make sure you get a chance for the... More

The museum really gave a lot of thought to becoming interactive. We saw all sorts of weaponry from different eras and for various purposes. The collection is not only European. It has oriental arms as well. We attended a lecture about the hunt. The narrator was just great and made us understand the crossbow and how the hunt is undertaken.

Visited on New Years Eve, very nice welcome from the staff on our arrival, really enjoyed the Armouries, lots & lots to see, extremely interesting, don't know where the time twenty while we were there. Will have to visit again, as there is so much to see you can't take it all in. Can't call it a little gem because... More
