High quality theatre outside the London circuit

Chichester Festival Theatre often has great productions in their "pre-London" phase. They also very good youth theatre - particularly at Christmas. Well worth a visit :-)

This theatre is just a short walk from the centre of Chichester where there are hotels an many restaurants. Parking is easy in the large carpark adjacent to the theatre. It attracts many well known actors/actresses who perform in the various plays and musicals throughout the year and occasionally stages music concerts of all types. Since some refurbishment a coupe... I go to see shows here at least six times a year now refurbished the seats are comfortable and well spaced to the side and the seat in front so you look over the person in front not their head the view from every seat is clear with no obstructions unlike some Westend theatres the prices for the shows which... So I came to Chichester Festival Theatre to watch the play of Running Wild and the Theatre made another top-notch play. I've already been to the Festival Theatre to watch Hetty Feather and that was as good as Running Wild. So if you're coming near or to Chichester, you should watch one of the plays.

We often see various performances at the Festival Theatre and are rarely disappointed. The coffee shop serves good coffee and the restaurant a good venue either before or after the show.

We booked to see the production Running Wild at the Chichester Festival Theatre. The staff in the foyer were all polite and helpful. The bar staff were very efficient and offered the best service they could as there were so many customers trying to order. We found our seats easily and throughly enjoyed the production. Running Wild was brilliant and... More

I took my granddaughters (aged 12 and 9) to see Running Wild (Michael Morpurgo). They loved it (me too)! Excellent puppetry as in War Horse, but this time the central puppet character was an elephant. There was a good story line. It was exciting and emotional in places. It was educational too concerning the importance of rainforests and their destruction... More

We saw "The Dresser" at this theatre. The seating was good, you felt very close to the stage, it was easy to book and the play itself was brilliant. Can thoroughly recommend a visit. We will go again!

We're so lucky to live nearby and to have this fabulous brutalist era theatre in this glorious parkland setting. It's small but perfectly performed, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We enjoy several productions a year both in the main theatre itself and the Minerva and mostly recently understood a bs Kat she behind the scenes... More

A great evening. The show itself was excellent but as ever the staff were polite and pleasant. Our third visit this year!
