Glad we got in here on a deal as I'm not enough of a plant fan to feel this would have been good value for money. Lots of plants, lots of explanations. Indoor museum gives lots of information. Not into gardening and plants enough to get the full enjoyment from here.

We thought we would have a lovely stroll around the gardens, which we did. Lots of variety and some nice little detail touches if you are looking for ideas for your own garden. It was also informative with little communications informing you of the detail dotted around. So a lovely hour or 2. We then tried to go to the... More

If you like gardening this is definitely worth a visit, the gardens are amazing especially as they are all organically done. I have been here a few times over many years and have always been surprised at what they have done.

Visited for Sunday lunch with friends. They were busy but staff coped very well and service was prompt and very accomodating. The food is simply excellent. We had a range from children's meals to Sunday lunch and every dish was faultless.

We just saw this as we were passing and dropped in to find out more. Went to reception where a friendly girl explained it was not a garden centre, but you could tour the gardens (free in the winter) again it was a bitter day but went for a walk round the extensive, interesting grounds. They have an excellent cafe,... More

The gardens are attractive in all seasons and we have never found them crowded. But an added bonus - worth a visit on its own - is the attached cafe with delicious everything - hot and cold.

one word, overpriced. If not in season, nothing much growing. Popped in for a ladybird house - none and never have stocked them.

The objective of promoting organic horticulture is not well served here unfortunately, you would hope to see very healthy plants bearing quality produce, its not the case. Not worth a long journey.
