Celebrated as the UK's favourite 20th century building, Coventry Cathedral is known all over the world as a beautiful and unique venue. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence following the bombing of the city in 1940 it was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950's and 60's art and architecture in the country.

Came to visit an exhibition in Coventry and decided to come to the Cathedral. After viewing the old Cathedral we went to go into the new one only to see an admission price unless you were going into a service of £6 per adult. I...More

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are frustrated at our entry charge. As we are not funded by anyone it costs us £5000 a day, and £358 an hour just to stay open, otherwise we would have to close....More

6 pounds to visit is way too expensive at 6 pounds each to go into the new one !! Coventry city centre is rubbish. Event the town clock doesn't work !! Give it a miss !!More

It is not too far from the new Cathedral. Lovely & Lively area with pubs, restaurants and shops, interesting history. Read up before you go. Free to walk around. A visual reminder of the blitz. Beautiful as a ruin, and pretty at night with lighting...More

Must have been a lovely building, sad , and interesting, new cathedral is quite a contrast, short walk from there to centre to see Lady Godiva moving clock.
