Music too

Over the time I was there it happened to be that a rock festival was held there. I was able to take in all the venue during the day and hear the music at night

Though sandwiched between a few other buildings the old Cathedral is an amazingly evocative space. Had gazebos in place when I went which rather spoiled the view and the visitor centre isn't really up to much but that's not really an issue. Bring your camera though.

It was an interesting visit and liked the way the old and new Cathedrals were combined. It must also bring back sad memories for people who lived through the devastion. We really enjoyed the visit.

Once you have wrestled with the Coventry ring road the Cathedral makes it all worth it. The combination of the bombed and ruined original cathedral with the new interpretation is unique. Great to see the continuing tradition of cathedral building extends over the centuries - large in scale, joyous in atmosphere and stunning in sight.

The old part is still impressive in its simplicity. The new part is beautiful in many ways, although I do object to having to pay to visit a church. I would probably donate this anyway, but like so many cathedrals in the country, they're becoming more like a Disney park by selling tickets.

I studied there in Coventry university so I used to go and sit there. You will have to pay a entry fee for getting into the church- May be 3 pounds.

There is nothing like this cathedral & the juxtaposition of old bombed shell to the new sanctuary. It's haunting & leaves a lasting impression. We had been before, but never for worship. The worship is high church, but elevates the soul through the music of the organ & choir as well as word & the stunning beauty of the cathedral... More

We did the guided tour with guide Mary on Saturday morning. She was very good. Very informative without being boring and has a true passion for the subject.
