Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an absolutely incredible place, stay, eat, drink, party & sleep…
A stunning development filled with restaurants, bars, working spaces and of course BBC Birmingham all while lining the canal showing their stunning reflections.
Marco Pierre White, Zizzi, Côte, Miller & Carter as well as many bars also….. oh, and the Everyman cinema is here also!
Onsite parking, and of course the AC Hotel by Marriott just leave you to have the most amazing weekend with friends over drinks & food and the reflections of canal…. Amazing atmosphere every night of the week!
Stayed at AC Wednesday 15th May, it was like I was in Soho on the weekend! Electric atmosphere

Nice place to visit, plenty of shops and restaurants, beautiful canals and barges.
visited a restaurant Al Bayt does brunch ,Arabic coffee and desserts.
Had a full English breakfast 2 eggs,2 hash browns,2lamb sausages, premium turkey rashers, mushrooms, tomato, beans, sourdough toast
Toasted sourdough, spiced avocado, grilled beetroot, hummus, pickled red onion, cherry tomatoes.
orange juice and chai latte
its all freshly prepared and a friendly service.
Its a small place, middle Eastern flavours well worth a visit.
They do a middle Eastern platter for breakfast as well. Also cater for vegan.
Also do hot and cold drinks, mocktails, milkshakes and soft drinks.
Its busy could do with more seating, Can take a walk along the canal watch the barges.

Total mishmash of chain restaurants and random, supposedly high end, shops.
The shopping level used to be so much better but almost all the original top brands have closed down, replaced with a bizarre mix of kitchen shops, cycling and something to do with teeth. Gieves & Hawkes and Harvey Nichols are incongruous amongst it all.
I know it’s a tough environment and places have to fill units as best they can but it has left The Mailbox as a confusing experience.

Building honestly looks great and is really clean but there’s nothing of interest in here aside from a few eateries. Feels like one of those ‘Boutique malls’ in a Mediterranean country that’s always empty.
Plus, in 2022 who is even shopping at Harvey Nichols? More money than sense some folk…

Popped into the Hugo boss store with the intention of purchasing a couple of garments, the girl in the shop followed us around like we were going steel something, I have never felt so uncomfortable in a shop and left without purchasing anything, I went to selfridges and spent some money there instead, a far better service from a far better shop! Let’s hope she isn’t on commission as she will go hungry.

Much better when the weather is nice but still plenty to do and see. Just walking around, shops nearby or some food and drink. Close to the centre, transport links and easy parking

Location approx 10 minute walk to Arena. Prebooked but had to email them 4 times to get instructions. They blamed my email but receipt arrived promptly. As expected the barcode on exit did not work. Took 25 minutes to exit having to call for help at the machine and again at the barrier, Although the carpark itself was fine but expensive the booking process snd exit was dire! Would not use again, once bitten etc..

Having visited this area over the years, seeing the Mailbox rise from an old industrial site is a great example of regeneration to improve the aesthetic quality of an inner city area. Interesting as part of a waterside walk through the city, with a range of places to eat and drink as well.
