The tour lasts an hour and a half and cost £9. However, only small parties can be accommodated and must be pre-booked. The tour was informative and the guide knowledgeable. Utterly fascinating and worth every penny of the fee. Do not miss it

We pre-booked our visit for Saturday 15 July with English Heritage and it was a real treat. We had a guided tour by a volunteer and she really brought it to life.
