Ive been to the cinema 3 times now and it's great. The staff are friendly and personable. The cinema intimate and different. They show great films, from current blockbusters to cult films and independents. The last film I saw there was star wars. I would always recommend booking in advance as it's small. It's so important to support independent businesses... More

Attended a lunchtime viewing of the Woody Allen film 'Manhattan'. Quaint box office. Had a sofa for two. Snacks & drinks ordered at the bar or by text from your sofa, delivered to your seat. Mixed deli platter followed by a dish of chocolate, fruit & nuts with a bottle of beer each was an interesting lunch which easily filled... More

We loved this cinema. It's small and really cosy. Love the fact that they don't have a normal concession stand. Instead they have a bar that sells soft, alcoholic and hot drinks and also snacks like cakes etc. The seating options are great. The front row is made up of leather chairs with footstools, ten you have your average chairs... More

We came to the 1920's Parisian theme night and it was splendid. The chap in charge gave everyone individual attention and all the other staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great and so was the Absynthe.... Warning: the big lounger chairs at the front are very comfortable- my partner and I slept soundly through the film! I imagine... More

We visited the Electric Cinema on recommendation and wasn't disappointed at all. Intimate friendly venue with great atmosphere. Brilliant view from main seats so don't worry about it being small best views ever. can't wait to go back and try the settees.

I love cinema - always have done - but find that I miss most of the dialogue because of the way the sound is presented (not sure what it is, but there we go). Not so in the Electric. Seated in one of their oh-so-comfy armchairs at the very front with my feet up on a footstool, I got every... More

We went to the early evening showing of Their Finest and as it was a birthday treat for my husband I booked a sofa which allows you to text a food and drinks order to the bar and it's delivered to you. We loved it. Sofa was really comfortable, good view of the screen, great film and atmosphere. We'll definitely... More

A nostalgic cinema in the heart of the city, often showing minority interest films. Although the general feel of the cinema is pleasant, nice seating with drinks and snacks available, the big let down is the awful foul smelling mens toilets (don't know if the women's are as bad). The stairs leading down are dirty and the smell is overpowering... More

Everything about this cinema is special, from the warm welcome, great choice of drinks and nibbles, luxury sofa seats, waiter service...just can't fault it! If you're after a wonderful relaxed few hours watching a film, this is the place to go!
