Brilliant selection of world class art and sculpture in a gorgeous building. We caught a free lunchtime cello recital which again was world class - coupled our visit with a trip to the neighbouring Lapworth Geology Museum.

Like a mini national gallery but without the crowds. Covers everything from early Italian art ( Botticelli)through Reynolds/Van Dyck/Rubens/Hals/lots of Degas/Gaugin/Manet. Blissfully quiet. Went to see the monet painting when it was showing, fascinating to view the other art works as well including degas. well worth a visit if you love art.

This is a must if visiting Birmingham and love art. Attached to the University. There is a shop so you can have snacks and coffee.
