Lovely classical-style building in the heart of Birmingham, amazing collection of especially Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Also very informative display of part of the Staffordshire Hoard of Saxon gold (the better half too). Free entry and helpful staff. Not to be missed.

There's a lot to see here: many good pictures, not least the Pre-Raphaelites; the impressive Staffordshire Hoard; and the Birmingham History Galleries. The lay out is good and the staff are friendly and helpful

A super museum and art gallery. Lots of variety including the Staffordshire Hoard and Birmingham through the ages. Plenty to see on multiple occassions, too much for just one visit!
