We took our two children aged 5 and 7 to see Alice - the show was excellent. We had a good view and the stage was so near. I am used to going to the Hippodrome, which is more impressive inside, but the downside is...More

We decided to go to the theatre for our wedding anniversary on 16 November. The Foppish Theatre Production company were playing with Praise of Folly. This is a renaissance comedy, fabulous production and hilarious. The theatre is quite central, near a number of restaurants and...More

Loved this production of Romeo and Juliet. Changing the gender balance was an astute and brilliant move. and gave added depth to characters like the Nurse and Friar Laurence. The young actress playing Juliet was first rate, the tension between Lady Montague and Lord Capulet...More

I visited The Crescent for the first time in November 2018 to see Romeo & Juliet. A simply staged but beautifully acted play. Accessible and just under two and half hours including a twenty minute interval. The theatre is relatively small at around 300 seats....More

Really lovely friendly theatre with main stage and studio theatres. The Cresent puts on some stunningly good productions but...….last night we saw The 39 Steps......Brilliant does not cover it. After nearly 3500 productions.....it is one of the memorable ones for sure..... Fantasmagorical

Frequent visitor here - this is a must if you enjoy repertoire that doesn't always get done on the main stages of places like the Rep. It's run professionally although the shows are professionally done by amateurs.
