The new building include two theatres, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre, both using a thrust stage. Visitors can also experience Theatre Tours, take a trip up the Tower for fantastic views of Stratford-upon-Avon and enjoy free exhibitions. You can also book a table for lunch or dinner in the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar or enjoy a light bite in the Riverside Cafe. There is free public Wi Fi throughout the building.

What an amazing experience to see Julius Caesar performed here. The actors were superb! The theatre is gorgeous. Stratford upon Avon is absolutely lovely. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. I will be back!

I confess. I'm not a great student of The Bard but this tour is excellent. Our guide Valerie was informative and entertaining. Going behind the scenes at any theatre is always good but this was amazing.

In July my husband and I will need a taxi from Stratford upon Avon to Chipping Campden after an RSC performance (around 22:30). Should we book ahead or will there be taxis queued ready to drive to Chipping Campden?

Has anyone who sat on the narrow vertical seats (eg in the circle) had any problem sitting there ? Are they comfortable ? I have read they are not fixed and can tip up. We are both in our 40's so pretty articulate but just wondered what the seats are actually like ? eg row D in the circle.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
