This is my 3rd visit to Kenilworth Castle. (2nd St George's Day Event) I love Kenilworth castle. It's one of the larger castle ruins I have visited but it's a beautiful example of a good ruin. It still shows the architectural details of the castle and is well kept by the English Heritage staff. The gardens are beautiful. It's a... More

This castle has been on my bucket list and when we finally got there both my partner and I were enchanted. From the Norman keep to John of Gaunt and Elizabethan renovations this castle was amazing. Plenty of information on boards around the site and the small exhibition in the stables was informative. Go there you will love it

Always enjoy kenilworth it wasnt too busy. Stories told by historical actors all daybeato keep kids entertained. The castle is in a good condition and it is quite easy to imagine it in its glory. The stables is a good cafe with a history of the castle also in there. You can spend at least 4 hours if there is... More

We didn't enter the grounds today but took a nice stroll around the grounds peering in all of ruins. Some lovely views. A nice area for the dogs to stretch their legs and a geocaching route. Easy access car parks, a cafe and easily signposted.

Impromptu visit to this castle. It has a superb keep in excellent condition you can explore as well as lots of ruins and walls you can climb and rummage around. There are also some ornamental gardens to view and plenty to see and read on the turbulent history of the castle. We ate at the pub opposite the castle afterwards... More

We live not far from Kenilworth but had never made the short trip to see the castle. The car park was very full when we arrived at 10:15 so beware this can be busy. As National Trust members we were given audio guides and these were very good. Without the guides it would have been more difficult to understand some... More

Our second visit to this impressive English Heritage property and still as interesting. The viewing platform is a new addition (maybe 3 years old) and gives you access to the stunning views surrounding the castle. The Elizabethan garden is beautiful; lovely birds in the small aviary too. An enjoyable 1/2 day out.
