This is a wonderfull bridge. On top is a railroad and on street level cars and pedestrians can pass the Tyne. It is constucted of steel. Nice views!

This is a really magnificent bridge which well bears a close inspection on foot. There is some wonderful engineering/structure to be seen - pity about the pigeon excrement and the graffiti. Not to mention the absolutely stupid and polluting "cool" fad of attaching padlocks carried...More

well worth walking across the Tyne using this bridge and reading the information panels and looking at the bridge's structure and admiring the view.

An important & impressive structure, serving both rail & road. High above the Tyne giving great views of the river & her other bridges.

On the surface of it, there doesn't seem to be much here, but take the time to go close, and get several perspectives, and you will see this is really a marvellous place. There is such a lovely structure to this bridge, and the history...More

This a great bridge that is built for traffic and trains . This bridge could of been built better for two way traffic like the Tyne but it is built for one way traffic only . It has a good view of Newcastle quayside and...More

The High Level Views, better for its views than for its view. The High Level Bridge allows for both road and rail traffic to cross the Tyne. It is not an a beautiful bridge; it lacks the architectural oomph of the Tyne Bridge, the grace...More
