Went as a church home group to Sung Eucharist. Fabulous experience. Met some of the Ministers there who were very welcoming and informative.

One of our smaller cathedral churches but also one of which has a lovely atmosphere, from the initial welcome from one of the helpers there to the last look down the aisle before exiting. The place like most of the city is vibrant and looking...More

I have been to poorer but also more impressive cathedrals. The exterior, ornate tower though is quite lovely. The 1887 pulpit is gorgeous as is the Madden tomb. The heavy tomb flagstones are impressive as well. It’s free to enter. I spent about 20 minutes...More

I like to go to cathedrals (even though I am not religious) and get a sense of the past of the city. This is a small cathedral in the city centre but well worth a look.

This beautiful cathedral is in the heart of Newcastle. The stained glass, both modern and old, is stunning and there is a great feeling of peace in this still in use building. Well worth your time as a visit.

Nice cathedral, lovely stained glass and all were welcome in. Booklets and brochures available to buy. Did have some homeless people asleep on the pews; you make of that what you will.
