Visited as part of the Great Exhibition of the North. Very interesting stained glass windows at the the top of the gallery. The rest of the gallery is worth a visit - look out for updates to their exhibits.

The Laing is just about the right size for a two hour peruse and longer if one wants a snack at the cafe / restaurant! The art on display has been beautifully set out and reminded us very much of the Walker Gallery in Liverpool....More

Enchanted Garden: An interesting and adventurous project to bring a very wide range of painters and illustrators under one theme. Not so sure the theme entirely worked but there was some amazing art on loan from other galleries to see. Just about worth £12 I...More

We came across this whilst walking through the centre. Staff were friendly and the gallery was just the right size. A lot of the art celebrated the North East. There was a very intricate wood carving which was well worth seeing and also a painting...More
