Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stunning architecture and that's about it.
It's architecture reminds me of the arcade in central Brussels, just much smaller.
I've been there a few times and it's always almost devoid of people.
All the shops seem to be specialty music stores but the lack of customers makes it surreal.
It looks almost too posh for Newcastle.

I visited again recently for the first time since Covid. The architecture is superb, a real gem and if you enjoy Photography there are some great opportunities here. In terms of shops and restaurants, the Windows music store has always been a favourite, a really unique store in Newcastle. There is a very nice eatery called The Naked Deli which is really nice, serving fresh healthy gluten free and vegetarian food. There aren't many shops inside, its more like a nice space to admire the architecture.

Whenever we've visited the Arcade it has been virtually empty which is a pity as the architecture and fittings make it well worth seeing. On our most recent visit the Arcade was decorated for the festive season in a very understated low key manner which was entirely appropriate for the ambience that the building projects.

This looks like a mini, ancient, little shopping centre. Has shops like paper chase and jd window my favourite.

The Central Arcade is an Edwardian Arcade in Grainger Town, it was built in 1906 and was designed by Oswald and Son. It is an elegant place and is in character with the rest of buildings in the Grainger Town area of the city but on a busy Saturday when I visited there was hardly anybody around. The arcade is worth a visit whilst in the city.

We absolutely loved Central Arcade. It was amazing. Just up our street - a joy to walk through. Good vibes and high level of service experienced. Beautiful architecture. A must when in Newcastle to go and visit. Recommend a visit to all.

This arcade is a gem. Built inside the exchange building after a fire destroyed the theatre, the central arcade is a lovely space with tiled surfaces. Windows music shop is inside and has been there all my life. The other shops on the Grainger street side have changed over time but there are some classy ones that can be accessed from inside or outside.

The picture is a snap from yesterday (July 28) on our way to spaceNK. If you’re an architectural buff, someone into ceramics and architectural terracotta faience or just like wandering and taking in surroundings come and take a look.
