Forestry Commission site in Rendlesham Forest with cycle routes and lots of walks, toilet facilities, small park suitable for young children and amazing new adventure play area for older children. We took a 4 year old and a ten year old with us and they...More

We'd had a successful walk the day before with our 2 year olds, but this was too much for them. There was one climbing frame that kept them busy for ages, but little else. Needs more in the way of refreshments& facilities

Really great place to take your family for a Sunday arvo stroll. Loads for kids to play on and beautiful surroundings only downside is car park is quite pricey now.

Despite living under an hour away and being fans of all things unusual, we'd never been to here before. After googling the rendlesham UFO incident we discovered that the forest has a specific UFO trail partly developed with lottery funding. So we had to pay...More

Love this place and so does my dog. Can walk for hours. Parking spaces and an open area for a picnic

Really enjoyed this walk through the forest and the information boards give a flavour of the night in 1980 when US airmen saw what they felt was a UFO. The trail is well signposted and takes about an hour and a half,

We visited this forest 4 years previously with our dogs who really enjoy the freedom and quiet. It does not seem as busy as our usual haunts- Thetford Forest and Sandringham. There is a parking charge, but there is a toilet block provided, although it...More

We visited Rendlesham Forest purely to see the UFO trail. Very impressed. Very well signed. You really can’t get lost. Do a bit of research before you go and it’ll all make sense. That said there are plenty of explanatory signs along the way.

My Son and I signed up for the night walk and were really impressed. John our ranger Guide was a great bloke and paced the walk to include really good experiments appropriate to the level of light as night fell around us. Highly recommended and...More

The trail is 3 miles long so you could easily do it in an hour. But allow for two hours to read all the information panels and to stop and appreciate the beauty of the forest.

You can walk around the forest at all times. But please note that the main car park will be gated off in the evening (8pm in summer).
