Kentwell Hall is a beautiful moated red brick Tudor Manor House in the historic village of Long Melford, Suffolk. Whilst not a stately home, this 'little great house' remains a lived-in and much-loved family home; something it has been for over 500 years.

Surrounded by timbered outbuildings, tranquil gardens and a large estate, Kentwell is popular for family days out, weddings, filming and functions and is noted for its special events programme including living history re-creations and the award-winning Scaresville experience.

A group of us visited for scaresville and had a brilliant time. I was bricking it before we started as had been told a lot of stories before we arrived. They were all true. Your adrenaline starts pounding as soon as you start and doesn't stop until you get to the bar at the end. Will definitely go again!

When to scaresville last night with family and friends . Never been before but was told it was great. I was so scared before I went !! I screamed the whole way round - the adrenaline kicks in straight away and you will run , hide, jump out of your skin and most definitely scream !! The scarers are really... More

Visited Kentwell Hall last night for Scaresville for the first time and had so much fun! I'm not a jumpy person at all and still was managed to be scared and freaked out a few times! The volunteers do an excellent job and I shall definitely be returning next year.

My first time at Scaresville tonight, my darling best friend bought my ticket as an early birthday present, much to my horror (no pun intended)! I'm a bit of a wimp at the best of times and have a life long phobia of clowns so I thought I was gonna hate it. How wrong I was! The adrenaline rush was... More

1st time attending Scaresville. I openly admit it takes a lot to scare or make me jump.. Sorry to say here didn't succeed either.. But I will say I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.. I do think some of the long walks in the woodland area needed a few extra scarers to do something.. but the time and thought of the... More

We went to Scaresville at Kentwell Hall for the second year, this time with a group of 22 aged from 14 to 66. Everybody had a great time, the whole thing is so funny, with loads of jump scares, movie references, scary clowns, and darkness, lots of fumbling around in the dark trying to find your way thorough. It's a... More

Our third visit this year, enjoyable but too busy. We queued behind 3 groups in front of us and it spoilt our experience. The scares are brilliant and the attention to detail is to be commended but the backlog of visitors whilst inside the attraction was annoying and frustrating. As per usual it seems a great concept is being squeezed... More
