Just love this place. Staff are great and it's a break from the same old chain pubs. Great atmosphere and the bar man just hope over to the piano and bangs out a time from time to time. Good selection of visiting ales and coders.

The London Road Ale House has some amazing beers, really great choice and they are changing all the time. However, it isn't the most cosy of pubs. Very basic in decor. Wooden benches, wooden floor, just missing the sawdust really. Not somewhere you would go...More

Can’t say anymore than a great place and great beer. A broad choice of decent beers and ciders are available; the honey and chilli ale was...interesting! It’s a tidy place with a slightly spartan interior. The staff are pleasant. I liked the idea of a...More

Love this alehouse and the lovely people who frequent it, the bar staff are also a credit and very knowledgeable on the ales, all walks of life frequent with no airs and graces, no telly, no music, no kids... but doggies welcome. Love it
