We went to see Russell Brand on Thursday 13th at this theatre, the show was Excellent, however, the drinks were a Rip-off, £6 for a bottle of lager. The bar staff were so slow, it took us 30 minutes to be served, and there were only 4 people in front of us.

We had tickets for Adele Songbook at the Victoria Hall which is located right in the city centre next to the bus station. It is a modern venue and provides all the amenities that you want or expect from this kind of attraction. With the main hall being multifunctional the seats were whilst comfy enough would have been better had... More

Lovely victorian venue, with updated interiors. Attended a Paul Young, Toyah,China Crisis gig which was very enjoyable.Sadly the price of the drinks were dearer than the concert tickets.£25 for one bottle of average tasting red wine and £12 for two small bottles of beer. Which is a ridiculous price, lots of people were complaining, which may go some way to explain why... More

It is 50 years since I last attended this venue- OK so it has been brought forward into a modern facility. Event was 'Anton and Erin'- a most enjoyable evening and even though sat in stalls at back view of stage was good. Most convenient car parking makes for easy access. Three observations; 1 Firstly sale of programmes did not... More

Lovely old concert hall with modern facilities, seen some great bands here over the years. Be careful not to try to use your camera though, the attendants will swoop like vultures.

Lovely Arena, however the concert hall was too tightly packed with seats, and some elderly and disabled people found it difficult. the bar area was clean and the staff friendly however £18.60 for two large wines I thought was extortionate.

We went to see Ken Dodd at this theatre. As people know Ken is known to have a long show. He started at 7:10pm and finished at 12:30am. Thank goodness the seats were very comfortable. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. The bar is nice and also serves lovely coffees, quite expensive though. We are... More

Went to see The Bowie Experience. Good show and a lovely auditorium but as other reviewers have commented the bar prices are a scandal. We paid less in a Wetherspoons just round the corner before the show for exactly the same drinks PLUS a couple of cheap and cheerful meals. On the up side the people at the ticket collections... Went to see the BBC Philharmonic, which was fantastic. It's a lovely theatre / concert hall. However, we made the mistake of buying a drink before the performance from the bar. I knew the drinks would be pricey but had received an email from the Victoria Hall saying that up to an hour before the performance the drinks would be... More
