Waiting room and ladies loos all very clean and platforms being swept frequently good cafe with good tea coffee and good snacks available and pleasant staff. Good taxi rank beware charge time and a quarter on a Sunday though.

Unlike most mainline stations, its comparatively basic with 3 platforms, for trains south to Birmingham, London, South West and Oxford; heading North to Manchester, Stockport, Macclesfield and Crewe. Travelling on a Saturday with a baby and the ticket hall was ram-packed. I queued for my ticket, staff were extremely friendly. Helped me to lift my baby onto the train. Lovely staff

Hi, Like others I am not sure but buses do leave from outside the station to hubs at Longton and Newcastle where you would need to change. Prebook a taxi is cheaper than the black cab rank - good advice Enjoy.
