Today we took a ride Amerton Railway while visiting Amerton Farm and Craft Centre. At £2.30 per adult the price was very reasonable; Nice picturesque views around the circular track and plenty of wildlife to be seen including sheep and bunny rabbits.

Our son is currently obsessed with trains, so we visit a lot of small railways. This one was great, the staff are lovely and friendly, the train ride was good, lasting around 15 minutes and with plenty for kids to spot. The steam engine was very interesting and plenty of info was available if interested. This helped make up part... More

Lovely friendly railway. We go regularly and the whole family enjoys it. The staff are always friendly and there is always a nice atmosphere. Particularly fun in the spring with the lamps bouncing around or for the excellent Santa Special!

We visited the railway as part of our trip to the Farm Centre. We didn't have long to wait for our train. A short and slow journey with an activity "can you spot it" sheet for the kids. You can ride twice on your ticket which cost £3.50 for an adult and child. I'm a railway modeller and this was... More

Took our 9 year old nephew on this quaint train, just a six minute ride but full of educational points of interest as he was given a quiz sheet to complete (no prizes) but we all enjoyed the 'free' second trip on the train on production of our tickets. Train driven by an enthusiast who gave us very informative facts... More

We were returning from visit to Stafford and decided to call in the Amerton Craft Centre for a coffee break and for my wife to have a look around the craft centre. The next train was waiting in the platform so we decided to have a quick look. Although it may not be main line steam any railway is still... More
