About half an hour's walk from the town. On the way up we went along a busy road, not great with so many lorries thundering past and wouldn't recommend it, especially as we were walking with our dog. Took the alternative route back to the...More

Been here lots in the past, didnt make it to the top this time - we had my 2 year old grandson with us. It is an amazing place, but the local population really must get over the 1970's, especially as half of them are...More

It's been a few years since I've walked up to the Tor, but I was visiting over Easter and decided to watch the sunset on Easter Sunday. Totally worth it.

When in Glastonbury I always take a walk up the Tor, once a day if I can. The exercise is great, view is amazing, you always meet extraordinary ( and quite a few strange ) people. The cream on the cake is knowing that your...More

A lovely walk on a nice sunny day. Not too strenuous with a well maintained path/steps and well worth it at the top.. Came specially for this. Fantastic views all around from the Tor.

Glastonbury Tor is free as is the tower at the top. We parked in the tourist information centre and walked to it. There is also the abbey but not sure if there is a charge as we didn't have time to visit hope this helps 😊

We have been to Clarks village in Street a few times, how do we get from there to Glastonbury Tor? I know it's not far? Where is the best safe place to park when doing the walk, I don't mind parking away and walking a bit more.
