A hidden gem, we were told of it y a stall holder in the market. Really a gem loved the paintings and was impressed at the chandeliers. Very surprised that they did not charged no sign of a charity box would have been harpy to give to a local good cause not to be miss part of Bath's history

It takes you back to that Royal History of Britain. Every nook and cranny of the room shows the riches and beautiful architecture of Bath.

We were advised by our walking tour guide to drop in to the Guildhall and ask if we could see the three chandeliers in the banqueting room. We were most welcomed by the reception lady and as it happened on of the staff accompanied us up the stairs and showed us the banquet room and turned on the chandelier lights.... More

A beautiful building with grand rooms with huge paintings of Georgian kings princes and VIP's of Georgian Bath. Chandeliers hanging from the ceilings a delightful experience walking the halls of the Guildhall of Bath.

We popped in for a few minutes. There was a municipal reception on down stairs so we headed up to the banqueting hall. A very sumptuous space.

an interesting and historic building which is mainly used for weddings, to one side of the entrance is the guildhall indoor market which again is well worth the visit for its many stalls with so much on offer, and in the centre is the old 18th cent pillar on which transactions took place, it is called "the nail", and hence... A really interesting building. We recently attended a wedding here. Receptionist and staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The room in which the ceremony was held could have been a little lighter, as the photographs will testify. The white staircase in the main reception is an excellent location for post wedding photos. Worth a visit for... More

Similar to the Assembly Rooms, the Guildhall has a large banqueting room with impressive chandeliers. Well worth a quick visit if you are interested in Georgian history. On entering you just need to check with the receptionist whether there are any events running, there is no entry charge.

Went to a wedding at the Guildhall and was very impressed. The ceremony was held in what appeared to be an old Court Room- a very elegant room with a large Royal Coat of Arms, elegant polished wood furnishings and moulded plaster etc etc. Drinks were then held in a very elegant upstairs room with lovely views out on to... I painted this from the bottom looking up towards the stunning ceiling. The rooms are as you would expect of such a luxurious building. similar to the pump rooms... More
