The Botanical Gardens are a quiet enjoyable place to visit not just for the trees and flowers. You can enjoy a leisurely walk round and visit the Curators Café - slightly expensive and popular. Lots of space for kids to run round but no entertainment. More popular with the mature visitor.

the botanical gardens is very good place to visit in the summer. Hasn't been a great summer so far admittedly but there are plenty of things to. The Curator Café is a pleasant place for a quick snack during your visit.

A beautiful garden with lovely renovated greenhouses. Free to visit and wander in and a great cafe too. Don't forget to hunt down the bear!

The Gardens are run by Friends and the City Council. Well kept and full of well established plants and trees. The glass houses are of particular interest. The tea rooms are licensed and have a range of cakes and meals available. Well worth spending a couple of hours and particularly good for children with paths and bushes to hide in... More

Ideal place to wander around and take in the scenery, with obviously lots of greenery and plants, but also a really nice cafe at the top of the gardens, with toilets. There are lots of places to relax on benches or the grass, if its dry weather and the gardens are full of interesting features, including water gardens and even... More
