This statue is beautiful and really reflects our Sheffield heritage. There are other statues such as the women of steel in central Sheffield that should also be noted. The downside is where it's located. It originally was really central next to the area near the £1 shop. Everyone saw it, children interacted with it and now this area is used... More

The statue itself is not bad, a reminder of Sheffield's industrial heritage, but what a rotten location! There's a reason Sheffielders refer to Meadowhall as 'MeadowHELL'. What might be a reasonable work of art elsewhere, is transformed, here, into corporate tat.

Great iconic statue celebrating Sheffield's history in steelmaking. Worth looking out for if heading to Meadowhall.

Another ideal photo Opportunity if visiting Sheffield located at Meadowhall (Meadowhell to the locals). The statues are a great work of art and it is a shame that Meadowhall decided to move these from inside to the outside. The statues represent the history of Sheffield steel works and what was once present on the site of Meadowhall

Lovely statue, very well made. Well worth a look ideal to have a picture taken there if you are shopping at Meadowhall.
