This park really is a nice centerpiece to Reading town centre. Probably could/should be leveraged a bit more than it is.

Walking distance from train station. Beautiful little park with plenty of history. Great place to just sit and unwind. Next to Abbey Ruins. The Maiwand Lion statue is located here.

Forbury gardens Reading Berkshire is a nice place to visit for a stroll around or just to sit down and watch the world go by. It’s very old with its statue, plus a really well kept garden.

It's a quiet and nice place, I've seen it quickly but I recommend that and I'll go there again dedicating some more time to it for a walk.

Well maintained historic, relaxational and respectful place. Maintenance seems to be supported by Community Payback...some individuals seemed really engaged with the task, others not at all.

We go to the park quite a few times during the summer, on a sunday there are bands that play in the bandstand, there is a small cafe for soft drinks, tea/coffee etc.

At Forbury Gardens? It's a public garden, so just walk around and enjoy its beauty. If you want specific tips about other bits of Reading, feel free to ask - I live here.
