Cornmarket is in many ways the centre of the city, running from Carfax to Broad Street. A pedestrian street, it has a number of important shops, including Boots, and you can access the Clarendon Shopping Centre and the Covered Market from here. There is a...More

Cornmarket Street in Oxford city centre has a wide variety of shops and buildings and is a typical busy street. Some black and white beam buildings are pleasing to see on the street. Pleasant enough experience.

We were enjoying some free time after a guided tour of central Oxford and we decided to check out some of the shops along the Cornmarket Street pedestrian mall. It was lunchtime and the street was absolutely jam-packed with people. There were so many people...More

To be honest this street is just plain grotty. There are lots of beggars and awful musicians here and I would think a few pickpockets as well from what I could see. It is busy with crowds of people and a load of big name...More

All the usual chain stores are here along with crowds of shoppers. This is just like many shopping streets in other cities in Britain so there's nothing particularly interesting about it. At least it is pedestrianised so is traffic-free.

This Pedestrian street is the very centre of Oxford. At least it is not full of charity shops. There are some buskers and a distressing number of rough sleepers. Where have they all come from? Every big town seems to have them again. The usual...More

The street, as with the other main shopping streets, is a nice shopping street but Oxford seems to be dominated by the high street chains so is really not that interesting to visit for the shops. Seems to sadly the independent stores of somewhere like...More

Constantly filled with talented Street performers, it is an intriguing and very active Street. Definitely best experienced on the weekends as that's when it's busiest/has the most Street performers.

Cornmarket Street offers lots of shops, and is the main shopping area in the city. There is the Clarendon Centre, which houses H&M, Zara, and Gap and the usual suspects of WH Smith, Waterstones and several cell phone shops abound. There are also always some...More

Cornmarket Street is one of the main streets of Oxford. It is decorated during Christmas. Weekends are interesting as many street performers attract a lot of crowds.
