Oxford Castle Unlocked explores the 1000-years of Oxford's History. Led by one of our costumed characters, the rich history of the castle with a prison at its heart will be revealed to you. Climb St. George's Tower and take in the stunning views before descending into the atmospheric crypt, along the 18th century prison wing and into archaic man-made mound.

Highlight of the castle tour is St. George's tower and it's narrow winding 100 plus steps to the top with good views over the city. Interesting and historical facts and enjoyable to learn. Part of the 1,000 year old castle has become the Oxford castle...More

Excellent guided tour, a must visit when in Oxford. Very friendly staff and our guide ‘Marshall William Smith’ was great. Spoke so well and knew a lot of the British/Oxford history. Thank you

Thanks to Rosa we really enjoyed our visit of Oxford Castle. She told us a lot of different stories. The visit is very interesting and the exhibition is also worth to go.

Interesting couple of hours. Didn’t realise when we booked the second from last tour that the mound out the front would be closed after the tour so we couldn’t go up there.

There were about three children under 5 on the tour I went on and the guide made it entertaining for them, so I'm sure your children will enjoy it!
