I rode here from the centre and then back again. Really pretty, the track is flat and well paved making it a pleasant low impact ride!

Beautiful, peaceful area on Thames a bit away from crowds in city center. Good dining options including Iffley Farmhouse- very good pub fare and outside seating available. Great for kids and families as well as couples. Fun excursion.

At Iffley Lock is the Isis Inn, which is quirky/shabbychic but has nice beer a great family atmosphere. Walking along to the Lock and enjoying the river and sunshine was great.

The answer is NO as there are steps onto the lock gates and the bridge. The only way is via Donnington bridge where there is a ramp access to the towpath .

It could take a long time by road but if you can find your way along the river you could make it in 40 minutes
