I visited the hall and the cathedral, both very pretty. I asked one of the stewards in the cathedral for some explanations and practically got a private tour. A must see sight for Harry Potter fans although there's much more to see.

We visited Christ Church, walked through this gorgeous College, the dining room is beautiful, resembling that of the movie Harry Potter.

We decided to go for a family ticket, not overpriced for these days. A long queue but patience is still a virtue. Inside, we spent a pleasant 40 minutes walking around the dining hall and chapel admiring their well annotated displays. A lovely atmosphere, one which provided a environment of calm and peace in a busy city. We also met... More

A good look into the seat of learning, obviously not allowed into the main part of the university, but it gave a good overview.

Christ Church is a beautiful college. Lovely church & cloisters. The great hall & stairs were used as the basis for the dining hall in the Harry Potter films. (It was recreated exactly on a set for the movies) Note portraits of William Penn & many other famous alumni. The dining hall is the " cafeteria " for the students,... More

This was our first visit to Christ Church & we were fortunate in that we were able to see the college's Great Hall & the Cathedral. We were quite impressed with two of its famous landmarks, Tom Tower (Christopher Wren), and Oxford’s stunning Cathedral spire. The Norman cathedral is rather small but quite beautiful (especially the choir). Just walking the... More

It was a nice visit but I think it was not worth the £7 price and it was a low season pricing on top of that! We arrived on a Saturday morning when it opened, 10AM, there was no queue but were informed that the Hall will only open at 2PM. Do check the opening time for the hall during... More

The hall opens 2.15pm when I visited. You should buy tickets before that to avoid crowded. £6 with student card. But long queue for access to the hall. If you have time, I recommend to queue two time for having a great picture because staff asked tourists to keep walking. Next stop should be the Christ church that you can... More
