anybody visiting Nottingham has to go. If you live in Nottingham go anyway. Neat pub with history in buckets.

Claims to be the oldest pub in England. Has it's own odour. Dark, cramped and claustrophobic inside. Carved into the sandstone under the castle, it's worth a visit

Great real ale &food.built into a cave so has fairly low ceilings & gets full quite quickly. Nottingham castle is just above it..All well worth a visit or two.

We stopped in for a beer and meal and were happy with both. There is a great selection of local beers to try and the food menu has something for everyone. It's a unique place with many little nooks and crannies and a lot of history on display.

Good beer in a fantastic cave setting. Friendly staff and clearly a popular drinking stop. Well worth a visit.

I've been going to this pub for 40 years when in Nottingham. I still love visiting there. An unusual pub as its mainly a cave.

I love this place. i have drank here many times over the years and I have never been disappointed. I am pretty tall so I usually spend the day stooping to avoid head injuries!

I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. It's a great place to bring your family and friends to in the city. Good selection of local ales plus good bar snacks!

This place has a lot of character and was well worth the visit. The beer was cold, the inside rooms (chambers?) are a must to explore, and the staff was outstanding. That said I'd have second thoughts on ordering the barbecue again. Being from Virginia we know a few things about barbecue, they just have a different take on it.... More
