Hunting course very good and picturesque. Good greens and fairways. Priestman course very disappointing. Fairways fine but greens diseased making putting impossible. Needs sorting as most packages inc 2 rounds on that course and only 1 on Hunting

Great weekends golf was had by all in the group. The courses were rather wet, but with the weather in the area that was no surprise.. The bunkers (& I went in plenty) were poor at best. For courses of this stature that's not very...More

Played golf on the Preistman course today 28th April 2018. Cost of £30. The course itself is ok. well laid out and some challenging holes. Wildlife in abundance. The only thing to let it down were the greens. The worst, patchiest greens I've ever experienced....More

There are two first class golf courses at Slaley. The Priestman course is quite long and hilly. The Hunting course is more picturesque and the better of the two courses. Both courses had plenty of snow and rain the previous week and were quite boggy...More

Came to play golf on 27th November, couldn't use a buggy that came with the lodge as it was to wet, so hired an electric trolly at £15 which I thought was a bit much. On with the golf, wet and windy for first 4...More

Well laid out with a variety of holes. The sort of course many would need a buggy. However due to the wet, buggies are not allowed from October to Spring. Only other criticism was the fact that some fairways were far to finely cut for...More

Two great courses. Play these regularly and never disappointed. Got a free upgrade onto the hunting last time out also. It's reasonably priced and always in great condition

The Hunting golf course is 5 star. It is one of, if not, the best in the north east. Every hole has something unique about it and it's always well catered for. This is not a good course in the winter or when it's been...More

Played both courses during a recent weekend break, both were in reasonable condition however the greens were not as good as many of the previous reviews state. The small course having had the greens hollow cored and top dressed. Golf facilities are however excellent with...More
