We were very impressed by the organ, a lovely light action, but it looked rather bare and could do with some decoration. There’s some good information displays etc. Well worth a visit.

We visited Hexham for a few hours and whilst it was having a downpour popped into the Abbey, Wonderful hands on exhibit they had inside which was very insightful and interesting for the children.

The Abbey is very welcoming with excellent explainatory leaflets. The exhibition gives an insight to the development and history of the Abbey with several hands-on exhibits. The Abbey Tea Room serves very good snacks.

Beautiful and tranquil. Superbly maintained and cared for. Interesting history. Well worth a quiet hour viewing many historical moments. A little chilly in the Crypt!

Met at the door by a very friendly and enthusiastic guide, who showed us around in part. Th ancient crypt is most interesting - built with stones from Roman origins. Beautifully 19thC reconstructed nave. Lovely choir stalls. In all a beautiful community centre for Hexham,
