As the largest body of water in Northamptonshire, Pitsford Reservoir is also the most impressive, and well as being one of the most beautiful. It takes around 2.5 hours to walk around its circa 7 miles, mostly on hard pathways (although there are some muddy tracks along...More

Ideal place for a training run as the path round the larger part of the reservoir is 10km. Undulating pathway which can sap the energy. There is a cafe and play area , with parking, away from the causeway if you are not running round.

Lovely place to visit for fresh air and getting in touch with nature. Car parking is charged for but the expense of water has water based activities - a pleasant walk around the reservoir and there is cycle rises and a cafe. Lots to do...More

I came with a few friends and set up a barbecue, local staff were really welcoming and friendly and the views are amazing. The playground is also great for the kids.

Lovely reservoir to have a stroll around. If you are in luck you grab some free parking by the side of the road or you can pay in the car parks. You can also grab an ice-cream on the way round. Playgrounds perfect for kids.

Certainly plenty of car parking but much of it is in a hollow which gives little view of the reservoir The odd spot would give you what you want if you are lucky.

Yes, but more suited for off-road bikes. The path is quite gravelly in places.
