Expensive to get in and even more if you want to go up the tower, but lots of character, and history and underground tombs and ancient walls from a roman fort beneath the minster

Now I haven't been inside the minster, but from what I can see from the outside of the building I'm assuming it'll be beautiful inside.

York minster in my opinion typifies the beauty and the warmth of the Church of England.It is an absolutely magnificent building and it should be visited by everyone if and when they get the opportunity.It is my favourite building in the UK

A must do when in York. The sheer size of the cathedral is aw some and the stunning beauty makes you feel at peace with the world.

There are at least 4 services every day. Details are on the Minster's website but evensong at 5.15 on weekdays, usually with the choir, is very popular.
