Interesting way to spend a few hours in York. Finally planned ahead and booked a tour around the brewery, this was an interesting and informative hour, followed by a chance to try a few of the beers produced on site. Well worth the cost of the tour, the team made the whole experience enjoyable, being knowledgeable in the process of... More

My husband and I did an afternoon tour. Mike was our "guide." He lead an informative, engaging, and humorous tour. I've been on many brewery tours and I always appreciate when the person leading the tour is genuinely invested in the company and can share a bit of its history. We can 4 samples with the fee. I recommend it... More

Had a fabulous afternoon taking in the York Brewery Tour. The bar area is a comfortable and relaxing area, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Mick certainly knew his stuff and delivered information on the tour in a way that was informative and amusing. Being a cider drinker myself I thought I would struggle with the tasting but... More

Tucked away from the bustling centre of York, this place is well worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to kill during your visit. Excellent value for money, the price includes 4x beer tokens which can each be exchanged for a 1/3 pint - allowing you to try a few of the many beers they have available!... More

Tour included in York Pass so squeezed in at end of last full day given that it was across the road from the Hampton by Hilton where we were staying. Did not realise that in addition to timed tour, actually has a properly functioning cosy pub here, would probably have had a few drinks here to end the day rather... More

We had a great evening here. The brewery tour was very insightful and interesting. Learnt so much about the beers, how they're produced and the processes behind it! Mike was a great tour leader. Down to earth with plenty of laughs. The tasters after where the perfect end to a perfect visit!

We were recommended York Brewery by a friend, and we were impressed by the quality of the beers, and the staff. Take the tour - we have been on a number of these at different breweries in the US (where we live), but this one was fascinating. Try their "spirit" too. It's not whisky as such, but it has a... A great place. Good micro brewery tour and gave out more info than others tours I've been on. Brew 5k is lovely and fruity and the Imperium a surprisingly easy stout to drink @ 7.5%. Thanks for a great tour and thirds

Brilliant way to spend a couple of hours in York. Big Mike our tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous. Plenty of choice of the sample drinks included in the tour price. Once you have visited you will wish you had a venue like this where you live.
